A DELIGHT TO THE SOUL

A delight for the eye
Solace for the soul.
In a field of beautiful wildflowers
I take an late morning stroll.

Beauty for the eyes
And peace for my being.
Just tranquility and solitude
Is so very freeing.

As I lay in the a field of wildflowers
I am at peace with myself.
I shut my eyes and listen.
I can almost hear an angel or elf.

But it's not the wings of an angel
Or the spirit of a little elf.
It's just the wind lightly blowing
Giving peacefulness within myself.

As I drift into a light slumber
The sun gazes down on me.
The field of windflowers
Brings me sweet tranquility.

A delight for the eye
Solace for the soul.
Peace and happiness
Is the ultimate goal.
